Buttered turnips


  • 3 turnips
  • large knob of butter
  • splash of milk


Peel and cut the turnips into chunks

Add to a cooking pot or cauldron, cover with water and boil for 10 -15 minutes until soft.

Drain, add the butter and milk and mash using either the back of a spoon or a Tvare whisk.
